What is solvent printing?

In solvent printing, a transfer film is printed with a solvent printer and contour-cut. This film is then pressed onto the T-shirt.

What makes solvent printing special?

  1. Multi-coloured designs: multiple colours and photos can be printed without any problem
  2. Very high durability: solvent prints are very washable and long-lasting
  3. Slightly firm feel: a slightly glossy film can be felt on the textile, which may crease with large designs

What are the individual steps in solvent printing?

  1. The logo is vectorised and a cutting contour is created
  2. The design is printed onto the film with the solvent printer (eco inks)
  3. The excess film is weeded
  4. The film is pressed onto the textile

What should you keep in mind with solvent printing?

  1. Vector graphics are an advantage (if you don’t have a vector graphic, no problem – we vectorise your file free of charge, as long as you have a high-resolution image file, e.g. .jpg, .png, etc.)
  2. Metallic colours (gold, silver) cannot be printed
  3. Slightly firmer feel

How do I wash textiles printed with solvent printing?

  1. Washable at 60°
  2. Wash inside out
  3. Do not tumble dry
  4. Do not use delicate detergents
