What is DTF printing?
In DTF printing, a transfer film is printed with ink. The ink is then partially dried and dusted with adhesive powder. After that, it is fully cured in the drying tunnel. The finished design is pressed onto the textile so that only the ink remains on the fabric.
What makes DTF printing special?
- Multi-coloured designs: multiple colours and photos can be printed without any problem
- Very high durability: DTF prints are very washable and long-lasting
- Stretchy, soft feel: a slightly matte surface can be felt on the textile, which may be “noticeable” with large designs
What are the individual steps in DTF printing?
- The background of the logo is removed and transparencies are checked
- The design is printed onto a transfer film with the DTF printer (eco inks)
- The design is dusted with adhesive and dried
- The design is pressed onto the textile
What should you keep in mind with DTF printing?
- Vector graphics are an advantage (if you don’t have a vector graphic, no problem – we vectorise your file free of charge, as long as you have a high-resolution image file, e.g. .jpg, .png, etc.)
- Metallic colours (gold, silver) cannot be printed
- At actual size, designs should not have lines thinner than 1 mm
How do I wash textiles printed with DTF?
- Washable at 60°
- Wash inside out
- Do not tumble dry
- Do not use delicate detergents

How should my print file be prepared?
Vector graphics (.eps, .ai, .svg, .pdf) are ideal. The print size in cm can always be adjusted. Here are the specifications for ideal print files.
